About IPTV Guide

Independent streaming education since 2019

IPTV Guide is an independent resource dedicated to helping people understand and get the most out of IPTV technology. We test devices, review apps, and provide unbiased guides for cord-cutters and streaming enthusiasts who want honest, practical information without the marketing spin.

Our Mission

When we started covering the streaming space in 2019, finding reliable, technical IPTV information was genuinely difficult. Most content was either too shallow ("just install this app!") or buried in forum threads filled with outdated advice. We set out to build a resource that treats readers as capable adults — one that explains not just what to do, but why.

Every guide on this site comes from hands-on testing. When we say TiviMate handles EPG better than IPTV Smarters in certain configurations, it's because we spent time with both apps. When we list specific internet speed requirements, those numbers come from real-world testing across different connection types, not marketing copy.

What We Cover

  • Device setup guides — Fire Stick, Android TV, Samsung, LG, iOS, and desktop
  • App reviews and comparisons — hands-on testing of IPTV players and managers
  • Technical explainers — M3U formats, EPG integration, Xtream Codes, stream protocols
  • Troubleshooting — buffering, authentication errors, EPG sync issues
  • Legal guidance — how to identify licensed providers and avoid legal risk
  • Provider evaluation — criteria for assessing IPTV services without endorsing specific commercial interests

Our Approach to Recommendations

We are not affiliated with any single IPTV provider. Our recommendations are based on hands-on testing and reader feedback gathered over several years. When we recommend a specific service or tool, it's because it performed well in our testing — not because of a commercial arrangement.

We do include affiliate links to some VPN providers and hardware products. These links support the site's operation but do not influence which products we recommend or how we review them.

The Team

Our team has been covering the streaming industry since 2019. We come from backgrounds in consumer technology journalism, network engineering, and everyday cord-cutting. We're the kind of people who actually read the M3U specification for fun and have opinions about buffer size settings in different players.

A note on accuracy: The streaming landscape changes quickly. We update our guides when we find outdated information. If you spot something that's no longer correct, please let us know — we'd rather fix it than leave readers with stale advice.
